Palestinian activist Samia Khoury continued her campaign calling for the release of her grandson Shadi Khoury and other Palestinian children. In her latest posting, Samia wrote the following

I was hoping Shadi would be with us for the World Cup which starts on the 20^th.  As a football player (soccer) and a fan, this was a great event for him which we were planning to watch together.  Unfortunately, we heard from the lawyer yesterday that the court session will take place on the 23^rd.  So please continue to hold him and all the children’s prisoners in your prayers, especially when you are watching the World Cup.  

Sixteen-year-old Shadi was detained along with five other Jerusalem children back in mid-October and the case has been postponed numerous times.

Rania Elias Khoury Shadi’s mother told Milhilard.org that the children and their parents are being met separately by court-appointed counselors who are expected to give a report to the judge by which he will decide whether to release, incarcerate or allow the children to serve their detention at home.

The trial scheduled for the 14th of November has been postponed to the 24th and the children were transferred to the Damon prison from the Mascobiya police detention.
