The Executive Committee of the Alliance Church in Jordan and the Holy Land approved, on July 13th a number of appointments for Alliance Academy Jordan (AAJ) in Yadouda.

Amer Matalka was appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Hussam Ismer, a member of the Executive Committee, was appointed as the church representative on the Board of Trustees. Dr. Reem Abbasi was appointed to the Board. Randa Qansoul’s membership was extended for a new term ending in 2029.

In an interview with Milhilard, Reverend Munther Shahatit, head of the Alliance Church, thanked the former Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Daniel Sharaiha, as well as board members Amer Fakhoury and Grace Abu Daher, for their service. He also expressed confidence in the new Board.

Amer Matalka, the newly appointed Chairman, told Milhilard that he is committed to supporting and empowering the pioneering school as it continues building on its achievements. He also expressed interest in expanding the academy’s facilities, especially its sports facilities, and in working to attract more support for the school and its educational programs.

Alliance Academy Jordan was founded in 2014 to provide outstanding education in an inclusive environment characterized by love and holistic care. Last year, the academy introduced the American curriculum in addition to the British curriculum it has used since its inception. Students have excelled in both curricula and achieved remarkable results.
