We, the Baptist Church in Jordan, received the news that the former Baptist Hospital in Gaza, which is currently owned and run by the Arab Episcopal Evangelical Church, was targeted during Israel’s brutal raid on innocent civilians who found shelter in the hospital’s yards and building. However, Israeli policy does not tell the difference between civilians and military targets. Besides the Israeli machine war targets Christians and Muslims alike as they are determined to keep in their homeland.

Therefore, we stress the need to listen to the voice of wisdom and rational international policy led by His Majesty King Abdullah II who has repeatedly called for the right of the Palestinians to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the June 4th, 1967 borders

We affirm that we tried to contact the Baptist Church and Al Ahli Evangelical Hospital but with no success. The Baptist Church in Jordan raises its prayers to God to fill the hearts of the families of the victims with condolences in this great affliction. And we pray with united and uplifted hearts to the Lord of Heaven to stop the bloodshed, we also pray for peace and security to be established in the land of peace, our beloved Palestine.
