Sanadak in partnership with the World Without Orphans Foundation and Oxford University, launched the Hope Groups training program for 150 people from the Gaza refugee camp in the city of Jerash, on February 5, 2025.

This training is an innovative initiative designed to provide support in psychological and educational basics for families and children facing crises. The importance of the program is due to its success in providing early assistance in situations such as armed conflicts, natural disasters, and forced displacement, and in cases of crisis and long-term trauma, where the need for effective programs to support affected families and children becomes more important.

The Hope Groups program also provides a comprehensive model to enhance the capabilities of caregivers in managing psychological and social challenges, and to promote a supportive and safe environment for children in need. The founder of “Sanadak”, Nisreen Hawatmeh, told Milhilard.org The program offers an approved curriculum that has been developed and worked on for more than a year, through the Sandak team with the World Without Orphans Foundation, to suit our Arab societies and culture.

Facilitators were also qualified and trained to understand the impact of emotional trauma and positive parenting to deliver the program in care groups consisting of ten sessions for each group, at the end of which the participants will be able to deal with the pain they have gone through and care for their children to be safe inside and outside the home and able to protect them from human trafficking, within the child protection policy.

Sanadak also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Service to Palestinian Refugees “DSPR” of the Middle East Council of Churches to receive trainees and embrace them in weekly sessions for seven months.

Sandak is a non-profit initiative established in 2016 to serve orphaned and abused children in Jordan and the Middle East.
