Amman – The Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, was the patron, Friday of the graduation ceremony of the new batch of students from the Jordanian Alliance Academy (AAJ) in the Yadoudeh area, south of the capital, Amman.

This ceremony was held for the second consecutive year.
In her speech, the Director General of the Academy, Salam Madanat, praised the vision of the Ministry of Education, stressing that the Academy is committed to it and is pursuing its approach to building “a pioneering, committed, and engaged educational community, committed to values, and guided by knowledge and excellence, to achieve global status.”

She also commended the efforts of the Academy’s Life Development Department, noting its effective role in strengthening the relationship between education and professional life, and instilling the values ​​of responsibility, respect, commitment, and giving. Madanat addressed a powerful message to the ten graduates, urging them to refrain from wasting time on social media, saying: “Many influencers only sell illusions and profit from your stolen time… Go against the flow if necessary, armed with integrity, humility, and knowledge.”
For her part, the school’s principal, Jumana Akkawi, expressed her pride in Minister Mahafzah’s presence, considering his repeated sponsorship of the ceremony “embodies genuine support for the educational process and the Jordanian leadership’s unwavering interest in education as a pillar for the future of generations.”

The head of the Evangelical Christian Alliance in Jordan and the Holy Land, Rev. Munther Shahatit, and the chairman of the academy’s board of trustees, Daniel Shraiha, also honored Minister Mahafzah with a commemorative shield in appreciation of his continued support. The ceremony was attended by several officials and public figures, including Dr. Tariq Al-Tarawneh, Director of Private Education at the Ministry of Education; Jasser Shannan Abu Dawas, Chairman of the Local Committee for the Khreibet Al-Souq, Jawa, and Al-Yadouda Districts in the Greater Amman Municipality; and Engineer Ali Muslim, Director of the Al-Yadouda District. They were joined by pastors from the Evangelical Christian Alliance churches, parents of the students, and a large gathering of guests and friends.
The ceremony featured a variety of creative performances by the graduating students, including speeches delivered in three languages: Natalie Al-Sarihi gave a speech in Arabic, Celine Nasrawi in English, and Li Liwei in Chinese, who opened his speech with Arabic phrases expressing his gratitude to the academy.


The graduates also performed a song they composed about friendship and gratitude, in addition to the hymn “My Lord, My Success Returns to You” and the song “Dreams We Hold.” Student Tia Al-Hunaidi recited a poem she composed in English, expressing her gratitude to the administration, teachers, and parents.

The ceremony witnessed a symbolic moment as the twelfth-grade students handed over the school flag to the eleventh-grade students, who expressed their joy by performing a dabke dance to the tune of “This Jordan is Our Jordan.” A video documenting the graduates’ journeys since childhood was shown during the ceremony, along with another video highlighting the academy’s achievements. Student Celine Nasrawi was honored for achieving the highest score in mathematics worldwide on the Pearson Edexcel exams, receiving a special gift in recognition of her achievement. The Minister, the Governor, and the directors also handed out graduation certificates and certificates of honor to the outstanding students:

    The ceremony concluded with the Jordanian national anthem, followed by a family celebration in which the students participated with their families and friends amidst an atmosphere of joy and happiness, accompanied by the tunes of the Scout Music Band.

والسبيل الوحيد للخروج من هذا الوضع هو بالتواصل والنقاش الحر، حول هويّاتنا وحول التغييرات التي نريدها في مجتمعاتنا، من أجل أن نفهم بشكل أفضل القوى التي تؤثّر في مجتمعاتنا،.
تستمر ملح الأرض في تشكيل مساحة افتراضية تُطرح فيها الأفكار بحرّية لتشكل ملاذاً مؤقتاً لنا بينما تبقى المساحات الحقيقية في ساحاتنا وشوارعنا بعيدة المنال.
