Over 1,600 people from across Jordan attended a special worship service organized by Al Malkot TV (Kingdom Satellite) on Friday evening. The worship service was held outdoors on Friday at the Jordan Evangelical Theological Studies Center (JETS) in a suburb of Amman. The event was patronized by former Jordanian General Imad Mayya in his capacity as president of the Jordan Evangelical Council.

Imad Shehadeh, the president of JETS, described the service as “a truly wonderful and unforgettable event.” He said: “I had the honor of inviting Reverend Dr. Michael Youssef, a man of God and a dear friend, for such a gathering twelve years ago when he was our guest at the seminary. This service was a fitting continuation of that invitation.”

Shehadeh introduced the main speaker and said that Dr. Michael is the founder and pastor of The Apostles Church in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served for 39 years. “His spiritual life, extensive experience, and theological studies in Australia and America have endowed him with the gift and immense ability to spread the Gospel message around the world through ministry, television, radio, and writing.”

Shehadeh told the large crowd that the ministry’s motto, “Christ is our Hope,” shares the same script as the seminary’s message, inscribed in Greek on the prayer tower: “Christ in you is the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).

Rev. Dr. Michael Youssef spoke through the interpretation of Rev. Yousef Hashweh on the choices everyone must make, using the story of the rich man who asked the Lord how to gain eternal life. Speaking to Milhilard.net afterward, Youssef said he was impressed by the unity of spirit among church leaders he had met the previous day and by the strong response to the message of Christ at the worship event.

Rev. Youssef’s sermon was preceded and followed by a selection of beautiful, captivating hymns performed at a high level, drawing everyone into heavenly worship during a service that lasted approximately three hours. There was great joy as hundreds responded to the spiritual call and renewed their vows to walk with the Lord.

Thamar Zananiri, a Jordanian singer, shined in singing local Jordanian hymns and joining the Malkot singers and band to warm up the crowds. She said she felt grateful to the Lord for His grace in serving among her people in Jordan. “I rejoiced in being present and worshipping, and in the joy of the people who long for many times like this in which we praise and exalt the name of the Lord and boast of His goodness and kindness to our lives and testify that He is simply our hope.”

Bibles and other Christian literature were distributed after the event. Munther Nimat, the director general of the Jordan Bible Society, said that 400 copies of the New Testament were given away free of charge.

Husam Qumsieh CEO of Takween Experience, said that this event was a large-scale project that required a high level of planning and execution, given its numerous details and preparations. He emphasized that the goal was to present an exceptional experience imbued with a Christian character and a modern spirit, leaving a distinctive impression on the attendees.
