Five Jordanian associations that are connected to Jerusalem held a protest event Saturday night outside the European Union Mission. A statement was sent to the European Union protesting their support for Israel’s genocide against Palestinians.

The statement said the signatory organizations “hold the United States of America and the European countries responsible for the tragedy of the Palestinian people.” The signatories called on them to “correct their historical mistakes and blatant bias and double standards in favor of justice and humanity.

Ghassan Habash a member of the Orthodox Society for Culture and Education, one of the five organizing NGOs said that the protest is aimed at the European Union for its refusal to apply international law. “We are here to protest the European Union and the United States for their biased position in favor of the occupier and in refusing to insist on international law and basic humanitarian rights. We support the resistance and demand the rights of Palestinians including their right to self-determination.’

Signs at the rally included criticism of the Western double standard that is biased towards Israelis and strong signs were raised in protest of the digital media giving space to pro-Israeli content while downgrading and restricting pro-Palestinian content.

One of the protestors spoke passionately about the absence of a conscience. “Where is their conscineؤ? Don’t they have any feelings where is their conscience, as they see the injustice to Palestinians?
