The website Milhilard.org lost a defamation case filed by a citizen against its publisher, journalist Daoud Kuttab. The court convicted Kuttab of libel, slander, and violation of Article 15/A of the Cybercrime Law.

The court imposed a fine of 5,000 dinar ($7,052) on the journalist, a recipient of international journalism awards and who has never lost a case in his 46 years of professional journalism. The court also ordered Kuttab to pay compensation for the personal claimof the accused and court fees amounting to 1,475 dinars ($2,080), and imposed punitive measures against the website.

With the Court of Cassation refusing to hear further appeals against the decision and after the Court of Appeals rejected the appeal on December 23, 2025, the ruling became final

Daoud Kuttab stated, “We tried our best to address a sensitive issue of concern to the Christian community with professionalism and good faith, but ultimately we lost in court. We respect the decisions of the Jordanian courts.”

Milhilard website is an extension of the “Maghtas” magazine, which was launched in print in 2004, ceased publication, and then returned as an online publication in 2021. Milhilard describes itself as a non denominational non theological media platform serving the Christian community in Jordan, Palestine, and Israel.
